Tom Van Puyvelde is a Belgian artist and designer born in 1985 in Temse, Belgium. After completing his degree in Architecture at Sint-Lucas Ghent in 2008, he pursued a Master's in Visual Arts at the School of Arts Ghent, graduating in 2014 under the tutelage of Jan Debbaut and Vincent Geyskens. His work, deeply influenced by his architectural background, challenges traditional classifications in art, focusing instead on the transformative potential of source material. Having lived and worked in Brussels, Lisbon, and Berlin, Van Puyvelde returned to Belgium where he continues to exhibit his work both nationally and internationally. His exhibitions, including the notable "Evanescence" at Buysse Gallery in Knokke, reflect his ongoing exploration of the ephemeral and the permanent within the visual arts.
