With Athena (2024), Florian Tomballe revisits one of the most enduring figures of classical mythology. Rather than reconstructing the goddess as a historical image, he distills her into a concentrated sculptural presence. The helmet, facial structure, and compressed volumes remain legible, yet are absorbed into a personal language where monumentality and intimacy coexist.
