In After Dark (2026), Silvia Giordani constructs a landscape that oscillates between geological formation and imagined terrain. Vertical stone-like structures descend toward a still body of water, creating a narrow passage that draws the viewer into a quiet interior horizon. Through layered oil and acrylic, Giordani develops a surface where mineral textures and atmospheric light coexist, allowing the landscape to function less as depiction and more as a suspended perceptual field.
