Buysse Gallery presents ABSTRACT TRANSFORMATIONS II, a group exhibition that continues the gallery’s exploration of abstraction as a living process, one shaped by light, material, and time.
Featuring Damien Bénéteau, Cyrielle Gulacsy, and Rema Ghuloum, the exhibition unfolds gradually throughout the autumn and winter season, reflecting the slow rhythm of the sea that surrounds the gallery’s coastal setting.
Through sculpture, painting, and light, the artists examine how perception transforms under changing conditions.
Bénéteau’s kinetic works translate illumination into movement and stillness.
Gulacsy’s meticulous chromatic fields emerge from repetition and vibration.
Ghuloum’s layered abstractions reveal time as both substance and memory.
Together, these practices form a quiet dialogue between motion and stillness, structure and atmosphere.
Rather than a fixed display, the exhibition evolves across the season — introducing new works and configurations over time.
“Abstraction here is not a fixed form but a state of transition: a dialogue between light, matter, and time that unfolds with the rhythm of the sea.” - Louis Buysse
This exhibition reflects Buysse Gallery’s vision of the off-season as a moment for depth and reflection, positioning abstraction not as style, but as continuity, an act of attention unfolding through time.
