We would like to take a moment to reflect on 2025 and sincerely thank you for your continued support, interest, and engagement with the programme of Buysse Gallery.

The past year marked an important phase in the gallery’s development. Among several milestones, we participated for the first time in an international art fair with Art Rotterdam 2025—an essential step in the gallery’s early trajectory and a clear affirmation of its curatorial direction. Throughout the year, the programme remained focused on long-term artistic development, both within and beyond the gallery space.

Founded in April 2024 in Knokke, Belgium, Buysse Gallery was conceived as a structured and professional platform dedicated to contemporary art. Built from an artist’s perspective and informed by the operational realities of the art market, the gallery prioritises long-term development through clear communication, strategic positioning, and consistent curatorial standards. The programme brings together Belgian and international artists, fostering a dialogue between the local context of the coastline and broader global artistic practices.

Selectivity and continuity guide the gallery’s approach. Rather than pursuing saturation, each exhibition is conceived within a broader strategy that connects artists to institutions, collectors, and relevant professional networks. Alongside its exhibition programme, Buysse Gallery offers private dealing, valuations, and guidance across both primary and secondary markets, positioning itself as a reliable and knowledgeable partner for collectors.

Looking ahead to 2026, the gallery will further expand its horizons through new collaborations with artists, curators, and partners, alongside a more pronounced international orientation within its exhibition and project framework.

On this occasion, we are also pleased to announce the publication of the physical edition of our yearly magazine. The Buysse Annual will be available from January 2026. For access to the digital version, we kindly invite you to get in touch with us directly.

Buysse Gallery operates on principles of trust, transparency, and shared responsibility. I am deeply grateful to the artists, collectors, and collaborators who contribute to this ongoing dialogue. We wish you and your loved ones a warm, peaceful, and inspiring New Year, and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2026.

Inauguration — 2025–26

Buysse Gallery enters the 2025–26 period as a consolidated platform dedicated to contemporary art, grounded in clarity, structure, and long-term vision. Since its founding in 2024 in Knokke, Belgium, the gallery has developed a programme shaped by curatorial consistency and a conscious balance between artistic integrity and the operational realities of the art market.

Conceived from an artist’s perspective, the gallery is committed to sustained artistic development rather than short-term visibility. Through carefully structured exhibitions and strategic positioning, Buysse Gallery brings together Belgian and international artists, creating a dialogue between the coastal context of Knokke and broader international practices.

The inaugural exhibition established a defining framework for the programme, marked by material sensitivity, precision, and a measured balance between intuition and structure. These principles continue to inform the gallery’s curatorial approach. Since then, the programme has evolved with a sustained focus on abstraction, material-driven practices, and continuity across exhibitions.

For the 2025–26 period, Buysse Gallery further strengthens its position through expanded collaborations with artists, curators, institutions, and partners, alongside a growing international orientation. Each exhibition is conceived within a broader strategic context, connecting artistic production to collectors, institutions, and professional networks, ensuring relevance beyond the gallery space.

Alongside its exhibition programme, the gallery continues to offer private dealing, valuations, and advisory services across both primary and secondary markets, providing collectors with informed and transparent guidance.

Buysse Gallery operates on principles of trust, responsibility, and long-term commitment. It is conceived as a professional environment in which artists can develop sustainably and where contemporary art is presented with clarity, intention, and continuity.
