Art Beyond the Gallery

12 December 2026 – 4 April 2027
Kristiania Lech, Austria

Contemporary Art and Collectible Design in the Austrian Alps

Buysse Gallery is pleased to support the inaugural edition of SENSE × Kristiania: Winter Season 2026/2027, a seasonal exhibition programme presented by SENSE Gallery in collaboration with Kristiania Lech, an Alpine hospitality destination in Lech am Arlberg, Austria. Reflecting the gallery’s ambition to establish meaningful intersections between contemporary art and other industries, this collaboration explores the relationship between art, architecture and hospitality. Through partnerships that extend beyond the conventional gallery environment, Buysse Gallery seeks to integrate contemporary artistic practices into the spaces of everyday life, creating new contexts for experiencing and engaging with art.

Running from 12 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, the programme brings together contemporary art and collectible design within Kristiania’s distinctive architectural setting, extending the experience of art beyond the conventional gallery environment.

Structured around four successive exhibitions exploring Living, Nature, Memory and Future, the programme introduces an evolving dialogue between artistic practices, architecture and the rhythms of everyday life. Rather than presenting artworks in isolation, the collaboration invites visitors to encounter them within inhabited interiors, where materiality, spatial relationships and sustained observation become integral to the experience.

As part of this collaboration, Buysse Gallery contributes works by four international artists:
Katharina Stadler (Germany, b. 1995),
Filippo Moroni (Italy, b. 1996),
Tycjan Knut (Poland, b. 1985),
Silvia Giordani (Italy, b. 1992).

Their participation reflects the gallery’s continued interest in presenting contemporary artistic practices across different architectural and cultural contexts, encouraging encounters between art and the spaces in which it is experienced.

The opening weekend takes place on 12 and 13 December 2026, with a reception on Saturday and a collectors’ dinner on Sunday. (RSVP only!)
